after my faith in humanity was in decline, and I turned back to faith in God . . . which helps to revive that faith in humanity.  Humanity in general, anyway.  I'm still not one to count on a heaven, and certainly not that I'll be there -- but I have quite a hitlist headed to hell.  

That list got longer this week -- and now I want to believe in a heaven for all the saints who went marching in . . . those who died in the hell on earth that once was a wonderful city full of warm and loving people who created so many moments of grace and goodness for so many of us from elsewhere.
