to be better able to listen closely to God and follow him, and to be present and loving to the people in my life. I have felt out of sorts and dissipated this week, partly because of the stress of the Katrina disaster. I pray to be humbled by this moreso than distressed. And dear lord, be a comforter to all in need at this hour. Help those to pray who need to, love those who feel bereft and desolate, and move us beyond ourselves to share your love with one another.
