Who's the other candidate? (none / 0)

You mentioned there were 2 challengers. WHo else is running? I hope the WA state democratics don't butt in and try and annoit a winner. It would be best to have a primary that is contested. Where issues are discussed. And free publicity is generated by having coverage in the local news. If the state party steps in and picks a winner- then that would be bad news.

  The party has not anointed a candidate. There will probably be a primary.
  Do you live in Washington? You might take note that our primary occurs REALLY late - mid to late September as a matter of fact. There is little to no turnaround before the general election. That can complicate things and is one reason why an uncontested primary is better. If the primary were held earlier, that would be a huge improvement.

    Not announced yet, but we should hear something in the next couple weeks. The party would probably get behind this candidate (I have, if they decide to get in the race). I'd love to see no primary, but the fact is both Darcy and Randy are determined to run, so we'll most likely see at least a two-way if not a three-way primary.
    I'd rather see us united behind one candidate early, but we'd better be able to get our ducks in a row after the damn primary is over and support whoever wins.
    (speaking of other candidates, any bets on how long before Heidi Behrens-Benedict gets back in the race? Oy.)
