    I believe the diarist is referring to a post that was on RedState, a conservative Scoop-blog similar to this one in structure. It was not a categorical slam on people who live in states that went to Bush.

      I appreciate that. I always click on anything that says Red State because... Well, damn it I'm tired of that. I lived through all the all the Red Staters can go to hell and worse on this site after the election. It got old, very old.
      There are good people living in all places on this planet.

      and I sympathize with her on this matter anyway. (Although at first I thought she was joking - you can never be too sure sometimes). But redstate/bluestate rhetoric is rather insidious. We can't rid dkos of tempers and we wouldn't want to.

      You posted your comment after the issue was fully resolved.

        We should just deal with it. I cannot change what someone says. But I can change how I respond.
        I teach my children to say please and thank-you, because I value respect and gratitude.
        But sometimes I get mad and call someone a nasty name.
        Sometimes my kids get mad and pull each others hair.
        I don't think any of us are in a position to lecture Sharon on such a petty matter.
        Further, Sharon has probably done more with Camp Casy than 99% of us.
        Sometimes you should need to know whose opinion should be regarded more.
