Abramoff.
Abramoff pleaded guilty to crimes.
Crimes.
Victims of Abramoff's crimes also gave to Democrats.
Indian tribes were victims.
Abramoff has admitted so in a court of law.
Abramoff will probably go to prison for victimizing the tribes.
The tribes are the victims.
Some of these tribes contributed to Democratic campaigns, but they have done so before Abramoff ever came along and I presume that they will continue to do so after he is gone, simply because Democrats are allies of the tribes and Republicans are White Nationalists who despise them.

What is she saying here?
Sounds like: "There is no evidence that Democrats are guilty of anything, but we all know what they are like and are confident that they will be eventually implicated."
You cannot be serious.
This is the ombudsman of one of the nation's "most serious" newspapers? Does this woman have any exposure to reality during her job? Does she have any knowledge of the case at hand? Has she read the Abramoff indictment and plea materials on the web?
I just can't believe this.

I presume this would be covered by the Washington Post?
Apparently, anything that is published on the Internet is newsworthy enough for the Post.

Worst. Ombudsman. Ever. by marc in MD which was posted shortly before this one and IMO, is more worthy of a spot on the recommended list.
And speaking of LTE's, that's what this author actually did.

Howell is not a critical thinker and is way above her skill level in the role of ombudsman. She lacks analytical skills.
