Several months ago I decried his apologetics for Rumsfeld. I got thumped for it. But it was clear Republican Lite was a fool's errand. If he had been able to offer a credible alternative, I think he would have rallied the kind of grassroots support Webb and Tester and others got. After listening to lots of folks slam him, he finally lost me when he supported repeal of the Estate Tax. Unfortunately, he was just one of 34 Dems in the House who now have to answer for that.
The rich already have a party, they can't have ours.

I was surprised to see David Wu on that list, so I looked it up. What google came up with showed he voted against repealing the estate tax. The roll call I found on the house.gov website also showed him voting against the repeal. Was there more than one bill or something where he changed his vote for some reason?

Here's the original post. And here is the Thomas reference, showing the votes in favor of extending tax relief to the wealthiest Americans, and here is a Washington Post article. Note this was the bill they passed around 2 in the morning on a Saturday.
