    elderly Democratic and independent voters voting for Crooker.  They would otherwise vote for a white Democrat due to Social Security and Iraq, but the fear of their granddaughter making love to a black man trumps everything.

      Mid-TN is traditionally Dem.  Many counties who went blue in '04 are located here.  Meanwhile, Nashville is 1/6 of the vote in the state - and it's currently festooned in Ford signs.

      Bob Corker still sucks. Now more than ever.

        and if there was a white candidate, even a liberal one, would get many or most of these votes of these racist seniors.  But as I said while they may be fairly liberal on economic matters and their inclination is to vote Dem, their greatest fear is a black dude from Memphis making love to their women.

        The Crooker ad played perfectly to these fears, and it is the sole reason why Ford is headed to a large defeat.
