..of a similar vintage, Anna M. Shitty, isn't it? Living long enough to see damn fools repeating the same mistakes, over and over again, and the same people suffering for it. I was thinking about the Viet Nam Moratorium March in 1969. I'm not seeing much marching these days - more blogging, less marching. Perhaps blogging is more effective in some ways, but a lot less immediate.

just isn't as visible as civil disobedience. And the youth culture today doesn't seem to have any energy. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the absence of a draft.

as part of it "Where is this generation's youth rebellion?". VoteHarder wrote a diary in response titled The Middle Children of History, which does a really good job of summing up the reasons why there is no youth rebellion in this generation - at least not yet.
