Every time I see your sig, I think of the time I had dinner at Groucho's house. He sat at the head of the table in a mousketeer hat and, when dinner was over, he sang for us: "Show me a Rose And I'll show you a girl named Sam Show me a Rose Or leave me alone."

if it's the same person. But he had a mate, all right, who was devoted, organized everything and tried to keep him going, interested. I don't want to type in her name. Seems rude.
A Sta. Monica bagwoman? Tell me more.

I'm looking forward to all sorts of parliamentary procedural tricks to keep clumsy Republican stalling tactics at bay. Nancy Pelosi, and especially Harry Reid, will need all the tricks available to hold to their pledge to restore Congressional rules without giving Republicans too much power to obstruct.
Democrats have done this for over 40 years before Newt Gingrich took over. We certainly ought to have the advantage here.

It's fun to know the rules and use them correctly with no bending of the intent of the rule and still win.
I'm not done yet. There's much left to accomplish.

As we go forward with these sorts of things, I hope you make it clear the differences between House and Senate rules. I think that's a source of a lot of confusion about parliamentary procedure (for example, cloture votes do not exist in the House), and look forward to you demistifying it all.
Happy New Year.
