"The Stone Pillow," "The Sound of His Wings"--I wish Heinlein had written them...but I can understand why he didn't.

But I tell you, "If This Goes On--" we may find ourselves stumbling even further down the byways of his Future History.  I mean, jeez, one of these days one of those Scudderoid whackjobs might just come along whose alltoohuman failings don't surface in time to prevent his election...& after that one, as Heinlein once put it, there won't be another.  Till John Lyle & Zeb Jones & Co. come along...
