It sure looks like Arabic to me, and I studied Arabic for a few years, so even if I can't read Farsi I think I can tell the difference.
As for arresting Zarqawi that wouldn't surprise me. When we invaded Iraq we took out Usama bin Ladin's biggest enemy in the Arab world. What would surprise me would be if Iran were supporting the insurgency. Why do that to support Sunnis and secularists when democracy is going to hand over Iraq to your Shi'ite allies?
Does anyone think Bush will ever catch bin Ladin?

it probably is arabic. My sister was married to a man form Iran for a number of years and so as a child I saw a lot of farsi writing. It looked to me like farsi - not as pretty as what I was use to seeing though. I thought about it later - that it was probably arabic - but by then this thing had sunk too far for it to matter. I would really like this info to get out though so I may diary on it again. Thanks for correcting me. nice to know someone read the update. :)
