  •  Yeah, causing not voting (0+ / 0-)

really sends a message.  Of course that message reads: voter to lazy to vote.

On the other hand you could vote for some nothing down the ballot.  I'm not sure exactly what message Democrats who voted for Nader sent, other than "we're surprised by the fact that not voting for Gore allowed Bush to win."

    •  i don't vote in TN...but I am not sending money (0+ / 0-)

I vote with my wallet in this case.

The fact is that in a national party, the opinions and choices of voters who are natural constituents matter as well as those of geographic constituents.  Ford is doing nothing to garner support of this natural constituent.

      •  I can live with that (1+ / 0-)

I was under the (wrong) impression that you meant to not vote for Ford.  As someone who does live in TN I was highly annoyed.

I don't think you should send money to Ford if you don't agree with his politics.  At the same time, I would appreciate you making the distinction since this Senate race means a shitload more to us that do live in the state.  The only position in government that I am represented by a Democrat is governor (including Local, State and Federal).
