I have my moments, too, where I've had my doubts about sticking it out.  I understand the essence of loss.

13 years is a significant investment in community and rebuilding after such a massive trauma is more than just an accomplishment in the larger recovery.

It is a victory, man.  Don't rest on your laurels, but don't pitch them into the surf either.
