  •  Odd phrasing- (1+ / 0-)

Every family should have the opportunity to afford health insurance for their children, and the responsibility to obtain it.

    You write on this-
"Look at health care, for example. Most progressives would tell you that being entitled to affordable, universal health care is [...]"

The blockquote doesn't say 'affordable', it says 'opportunity to afford'.

What the hell does that mean?

    •  It means absolutely nothing (0+ / 0-)

      The DLC sucks big time.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to see HRC give her "Vision 2020" speach to the DLC last summer, while I was staying at a motel in Bend, OR. "Vision 2020" is her vision of where she thinks the country should be in the year 2020.

IT was full of crap like:

"America will feel more secure in 2020, because we have beefed up security at our ports"

"In 2020, every American will have access to health insurance"

Not real security because we've eliminated the root causes of terrorism - poverty, oppression, ect.

Not health care, but insurance (private of course)

This was her BOLD "vision" of our great country in 15 years.

I had to turn off the TV so I wouldn't get electrocuted when I barfed on it.

      HRC is pathetic.

Thanks PsiFighter, for taking the time to read this crap and do a great analysis.
