I'm sure that this effort will reap some rewards in 2 and 4 years.  But the way I see it, the 50-state strategy is pretty much designed to counter the very large and effective organization that the Republicans have been developing for the past 30 years or so.  That's not something you can finish building up in a year or two, though certainly you can gain some benefit in the short-term.
