As the front page story makes clear, the "Webb is anti-semitic" line is straight from Allen's campaign. Matthews needs to stop reading GOP talking points.

he'd have nothing to talk about at the beltway cocktail parties...

I am not really into defending Matthews at all but to be fair, he has been all over the "macaca" story, refering to it repeatedly and relentlessly, ridiculing Allen for being so stupid and playing the clip many, many more times than it has even been posted here on dKos. He even played the Macaca moment yesterday and is one of the few presenters who has actually translated the word into English "monkey". You might look silly demanding equal time given how much time he has spent on Allen and the fact that he gave it yesterday.

who everytime he brings up the issue laughs, and follows the word 'macaca' with "whatever that means". Fucker is apparently the only person low enough to pretend he believes Felix made up the word. He knows good-and-well what it means, and continuing his current tact exposes him as just another Repunk racist.

I know that Matthews has covered the story, but he doesn't criticize Felix's racism, he just comments on his stupidity. Yes, Felix was stupid. Karl Rove agrees with that. But there's more to the story and that's what Matthews misses.
Plus, my point about equal time was this. If he's going to slam Webb for "hiring bloggers to push this story of Allen's grandparent" than he should at least say why many normal non-paid Americans like me think this story is important. Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen that on his program so far.

would do, making fun of him for blowing it so obviously. AND for being so 'weak' that Webb is tightening up the race.
I don't think Chris has anything of 'fairness' on his mind, he's way too much of a Republican neo con 'good old boy'

I really don't think he likes Allen much at all. That is my take on his opinion here. He played the clip at the start and finish of every break during one show. His ridicule got the point where I was thinking I'd jumped down the rabbit hole or something.
