  •  Well, thanks! We love the Bucks here, especially (4+ / 0-)

since Jim Tressel took over as coach.

Florida played a hell of a game tonight. Hats off.

Ohio State wasn't prepared for what they saw tonight.  What happened?

matter of OSU getting outplayed. Florida played a better game on all fronts. I'm sad for my team and my city, but this is really the way of things and, as I noted elsewhere in these comments, sports history is full of events like this. The good news is that OSU is no Cinderella, with this being out one shot at glory. Tressel brought us back into national standing after a decade of Cooper's mediocrity. That's worth celebrating.

except the conference (and my preferred Big 10 team did win their bowl). Wasn't surprised to see Michigan go the way they did, as their play was inconsistent all year. I guess OSU's early season was an indication that this could happen - after all, their defensive scoring was all that kept PSU from beating them at the start of conference play. But geesh - didn't even seem like they took the field.

Oh well. To tougher conference competition next year, and a playoff system soon.

It sounds good in theory and maybe it would even work. But the advertisers would get involved, like they have in pro sports, and before you know it we'd have way too many wildcard games leading to way too many mediocre teams making it to the finals.

            Just my 2 cents!
