  •  You Can Get Bill His Dream Job: (17+ / 0-)

All of what follows is absolutely serious.

I know the following to be true.  Not only did Bill claim to be sober in his 1st e-mail when he mentioned it, but we discussed this at YK2 only weeks months???? ago:

Bill - the God of snark and the Cheer in Cheers and Jeers -
really, really wants to eventually replace

                                    Andy Rooney

Over the last two years I have suggested to Bill a number of career moves [kidding on the square].  That comes out of my background as a headhunter for lawyers.  I focused on lawyers, but as far back as I can remember, people have come to me to talk about what they want to do when they grow up - no matter what their age.

You can help Bill achieve that dream. His talent is something we all recognize. The problem is that quite frankly, he is too modest. However, that's the key to his charm.

Here's what you can do to help Bill:  Write Letters to Andy Rooney and to 60 Minutes Executive Producer Jeff Fager telling the two of them why they should invite Bill in for a chat.

Please tell them - through selected short quotes of his writing why this meeting would be worth their time.  That's all that you should ask for - just one meeting.

I believe they should hire Bill as an assistant to Andy.  I hope you do, too.

Andy Rooney & Jeff Fager can be contacted at 60m@cbsnews.com;audsvcs@cbs.com

I'm going to check this thread throughout the day to answer any questions you might have - and I will re-post this tomorrow.

If you have better contacts for Rooney or Fager, be sure to share them here.

Thanks - and Babs: Aces on the diary!

Help wanted: Veteran's Administrator. Requirements: Hates Bush / Loves Vets. Somebody call Paul Rieckhoff. Thankyouverymuch
