Comments: Expand Shrink Hide (Always) | Indented Flat (Always)
It's the framing of that word that is problematic.
The "Republic Party" sounds like they claim to represent our 'Republic' which of course they certainly do not.
Republicon Party juxtaposes the word Republican with Neocon. It reminds everyone of the neocon influence on the party, and it also highlights the corruption and criminality of the party with the 'con' at the end.
And, it insults and derides Republicons with the same contempt that Bush uses every time he and his stooges use the phrase 'democrat party.'
Bush does it to demean and belittle democrats. We can do the same by calling them:
REPUBLICON PARTY.

I simply thought about how the Republicans are con men - complete and utter liars.
Both analogies are very appropriate.
I remember a time when the American President was the leader of the free world. ****** Repeat after me: "Neoconservatism has failed America."
