a tremendous amount of respect for John Cole.  Virtually alone among conservative bloggers, he's been willing, repeatedly, to say what he really thinks and not just to spout pre-digested and regurgitated propaganda.  Sometimes I agree with him and sometimes not, but he's always interesting and he has integrity.  I'd compare him to Kevin Drum on our side -- more moderate than most bloggers, but still a great read even when you disagree with him.

So it doesn't shock me to see this, but it does cheer me.  Way to go, Cole.  Welcome to the reality-base world.
