Whatever makes him feel like he's in the popular crowd.  He'll go back to them when Congress is ready swing back, most likely.  Hopefully I'll have one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel by then, because Republican rule of the current variety again in my lifetime will surely kill me before my natural time.

The last thing we need is another "democrat" out there speaking for us who was a republican yesterday.  He'll probably be the democrat on all the Sunday panels now, talking up Joe Lieberman and bashing the rest of us.  Do I sound cynical at all?

This may seem unfair or unwelcoming, but it's easy to jump into the Democratic liferaft now, when only the crow's nest of the Republican ship is sticking out of the water.
