You've seen sand scarves on the news.  It's the long scarf soldiers wrap around their heads and faces to keep the sand out of their nose, mouth and ears.  This is my buddy, McNamara, modelling one of mine:

I am writing instructions for cool ties that are easier than the ones currently online - I just need to finish it, but will post it when I do.  Cool ties are amazing - I use them when I'm gardening and they make a big difference.  The troops love them and they are easy, really easy, to make.
