But the non-performance and the assorted betrayals of a number of Democrats (like Feinstein and Schumer on Mukasey, like a myriad on the Military Commissions Act, etc.) have drained their enthusiasm, and left them in a listless state of political apathy.
And all of them see another year of Bush & Co. has tantamount to the near destruction of our democracy. I think that could be a little dramatic. But they may also be right. It's that bad in America in 2007.
