Comments: Expand Shrink Hide (Always) | Indented Flat (Always)
after hearing the musical acts and listening to a couple of short remarks, the audience was getting anxious to see the man they had come to see. Someone on the left side of the theater yelled "Fired up?" and the right side responded "Ready to Go." That went on for a couple of minutes before Senator Perkins came out and picked up the chant. He told us that Barack was in the house and heard us.
Everyone expected Barack to come on next, and groaned when Perkins said he was going to introduce someone else. Until, that is, he said "Dr. Cornel West!"
The same thing happened when West said that Barack wasn't coming out just yet, but then introduced Chris Rock. The audience went wild.
Sooooo much fun.
Let's build an Obamajority!

After Dr. West and Chris Rock I didn't think my hands would be able to handle anymore clapping! Of course once Obama came out I felt no pain.

thanks for sharing pics and commentary. Why wouldn't we nominate the candidate who excites and inspires and always draws the largest crowds? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

of not always choosing the best candidate ;)

voters don't resort to some misguided and convoluted idea of "safe" again. It's always a losing proposition. Let's give the voters someone to be excited about----someone with so much talent, intellect and determination to bring change----someone who will motivate an energized public to show up and vote.

there is no safe candidate for the merciless, limitless creatures of the MSM and the GOP political machine.
What we need is a candidate so rousing the MSM is scared into the corner at the sight.

The Marine Corps saying about hearts and minds is apt.
Politicians and the traditional media will feel scared when the ground shifts beneath them. If you grab their constituencies, their hearts and minds follow.

Grab them by the votes, and their hearts and minds follow?

... not sure I like it. Oddly enough, constituencies works better for me, not sure why...

Loved the pictures, and the CR clip. (Click on in to hear him compare Bush to a horror movie.)

I spent last evening calling people in South Carolina to give them tickets to the Oprah Obama event.
The typical response was, "Free tickets? Why do I get free tickets? Sure I'll be there."
I didn't have the heart to tell them that nothing is free in politics. ;)

The upside -- all too often we don't even bother to sell our vote....
