Exempt from state taxes, and often significantly cheaper because of that.  Last place in the world for me to buy gas is near home.  An hour and a half away, in Santa Fe, it's 40 cents less per gallon.  Even lower than that at the Reservation stations along I-25 - particularly at Santo Domingo and San Felipe Pueblos.
