has existed in all times. It's middle classes that are an historical aberration, not feudalism.

I do prefer to have the wool removed from my eyes, but honestly, this is so damn scary ... that we the middle classes are an aberration in history. I had to shake off the chill down my spine that tried to settle into my bones.
Is it Feudalism, indentured servitude, & share cropping, that economic systems move towards without effective regulation from a strong government?
If so, keeping this middle class society will take a huge input of energy from large numbers of us regular Americans. That, in turn, will take a huge wake up call -- like a 2x4 upside our thick collective American head -- because, frankly, most people I know don't have a clue and as long as they have their boats and cars and other diversions, they're not trying to hear any of this stuff.
I just hope and pray that the 2x4 doesn't come in the same form it did in the early '30s. I have kids just starting out in their own lives.
