i'm not assuming (0+ / 0-)

When we captured Iranian diplomats in Bagdad a while ago Maliki said we shouldn't have because they were his guests. When we captured the Iranian embassy in Kurdistan the Iraqi Kurdish govt condemned us also.
Of course there is a chance they're are lying and are in it together, but I'm not making assumptions, I'm repeating public statements.

  Yeah, like Maliki cares about Iran. I doubt he cares about us either. But he knows who he has to pacify with pretty words, and whose fiddle he has to dance to.

    It's in Iraq's interest to have good relations with its neighbors. It's not about caring. They don't benefits from us going to war with Iran. They benefit from good relations, trade, and Iranian tourism.
