Decades ago I did get Medicaid for my son and I had to get his birth certificate.

A few years ago I applied for Social Security Disability. I had to show my birth certificate as part of the application, a certified copy at that.

Really I thought it was always part of proving you are eligible.

I'm guessing most undocumented workers aren't in jobs that offer insurance, that means a lot of uninsured children.

Medicaid has been cut back in so many states that we have a lot of needy people, whatever their legal status, not getting help when they really need it. I'm not surprised they are cutting off another group.

They are so proud of cut rolls, so proud to leave more people without help.
