I just don't have much tolerance for the I/P stupidity that goes on here at dKos. It's mby fault for reading the diaries. (My comment is no reflection on the diary)

is one of the most important in the world at this time. Without this issue, the Iraq war would never have happened, and the likely coming Iran war would never have any hope of happening.
I hope you'll continue to engage in this discussion--it is a very important one to the future of our country.

to engage in this discussion when far too many people have chosen sides already. I find it hard to understand the people who are Pro-Israel at any cost, and those who are so Pro-Palestinian that they parrot anti-semitic talking points. But you're point is taken.

there are more lurkers reading these threads than people taking part in the discussion. There are people reading these threads who haven't made up there minds yet, or have never been made aware of the reality on the Palestinian side (the reality the good Rabbi Steven Silver is so keen to keep hidden).

Without this issue (I/P), the Iraq war would never have happened,

but without the philisophical justification provided by the pro-Israel Neocons, and the support provided by Lieberman/AIPAC et al., the Iraq War would never have happened. Think of the contributions of Feith/Perle/Wolfowitz et al. Feith is the guy who sorted out all of the pro-war intelligence.
Feith was standing in for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld at a 2003 interagency 'Principals' Meeting' debating the Middle East, and ended his remarks on behalf of the Pentagon. Then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice said, "Thanks Doug, but when we want the Israeli position we'll invite the ambassador."
