      every time I think about what we don't get here... it's not good for kids or parents to have a system which doesn't support caring for kids.  

      And while of course "life is about choices" there are some choices which don't make sense - like "fulfilling career v. caring for kids" not to mention "work that barely pays more than daycare or welfare" etc.
