ablington. Wonderful diary.
I was 24 and my wife was 23 when she had our daughter. We were by far the youngest of anyone in our birthing class. And we are nearly always the youngest parents whenever we attend events at our daughter's middle school (she is now 11).
In many ways it was very difficult for us, especially when we were in our 20s, because we never felt like we fit in with the other parents. In fact, we quite freqently felt like the other parents were actually closer to our parents' age than to ours.
Having said that, we are looking forward to being pretty darn young when our kids head off to college . . .
