(Candidate who I do not prefer) is going down, while (Candidate I prefer) is rising. Obviously, (Candidate I prefer) is the only choice for the nomination, because (Candidate I do not prefer) is (overgeneralized slur about candidate I do not prefer), while (Candidate I prefer) is (overgenalized compliment about candidate I prefer)!
