why would you suggest that?

If FDP sticks to its guns and decides to make the primary binding, delegates will be selected.
It will then be up to the DNC's Credentials Committee to decide whether to seat them.
What I am trying to suggest is that there is no way the Credentials Committee will not seat the delegates at the convention for fear of making Florida unwinnable in the general election.

but; rest assured, our "friends" in the state leg knew exactly what they were doing here; they took a dump on us; and now we have to deal with it; i'm sure some sensible compromise can be worked out

unwinnable? That's what I'm not following.

of the DNC to seat the Florida Delegation wouldn't hurt our chances to win this state?
I think it would be a disaster. It would be the lead story down here.

that some folks consider when they decide who they're going to vote for, considering all the real issues facing this country.

The current party rules state that Florida will lose half of it's allocated delegates if we have a binding primary before the allowed date.
You can be assured that these lost delegates will come from the minority and grass roots delegates - the "super" party delegates will not be affected.
