I wasn't singled out for special treatment on my last flight, Ohare>Philadelphia>Montreal, where I was attending the International Conference on Computers, Freedom, and Privacy.
Among the speakers was Lynn Rahilly, the Privacy Officer for the Terrorist Screening Center, Dept. of Homeland Security (talk about opposite ends of the bellcurve.)
She reported that her office had finally gotten TSA to review the No-Fly list, and related Watch List, removing those with no actual nezus to a threat to air travel, tho she admitted there are a lot of other, related "lists." The remaining names have had a field added, with birthdates of individuals with the "same name" as those ON the list, to facilitate TSA agents at the gates in distinguishing the same name folks from the suspects.
