What I find amazing is that these good Christian parents willingly dress their daughters up in the Jon Benet Ramsey mold and take pride in haing them perform dance and cheer routines in amazingly skimpy outfits - and yet are living with this rather bizarre princess and putity lifestyle goal. (there are very young girls that participate in these competitions!)

Not sure I phrased that very well.

It just seems the weirdest juxtaposition to me.

Part of it I think is the idea of subservient women as playthings for men - but I always thought the Christian ideal was for a much more modest woman.

I just find it a bit bizarre.  I had not heard of the Cul de Sac kids.  Ugh.  creepy.  But I am not big on the McMansion Cul de Sac liftstyle, either.
