Impeachment begins in the House. My Representative, Zoe Lofgren sits on the Judiciary Committee where impeachment proceedings will begin if they begin. I think she's getting a great deal of pressure from her constituents as the last time I wrote her on the subject (last week) I received an e-mail reply in less than a day. Usually she responds with a snail mail message.
So many impeachable offenses, so little time... -6.0 -5.33

Is Jim McDermott. He is already signed onto the Kuchinich impeachment bill, so I called his office and asked them to thank him for his brave patriotism and let him know that I am proud of his leadership on this issue! She seemed a little surprised! I am sure they hear more criticism than praise. So if they are doing good we should call and praise them too.
Many nuggets of "conventional wisdom" aren't necessarily wise.

something we like.
Last week I contacted Congresswoman Lofgren and got in return a canned letter via e-mail. In it she said there may be grounds for impeachment but she couched it in such a way that left the door open for doing nothing about it. Still the fact I got the response within 24 hours via e-mail instead of the usual way I get responses back from her, which is snail mail about a couple of weeks to a month later, I think is a significant sign she is getting some pressure.
The Kucinich Bill is mostly symbolic I fear only because it isn't the result of a congressional investigation, and it's limited to Cheney. I feel Congress must investigate and impeach them both simultaneously.
I can see why Pelosi isn't great guns about it because she's third in line and would be President if both were removed from office. It would be a bit unseemly for her to campaign vigorously for their removal, which is why she can't really lead, but Congressman Conyers can certainly lead and so can Senator Leahy and Senator Reid.
