that upset the elderly gentleman that received this flyer, it was that it sounded so much like a threat..audit, investigation..as though he'd better send RNC some money, OR ELSE. Shook him up enough that he took it to his son, a CPA, for reassurance. Oh, and the old guy was a life-long Democrat. How arrogant, how very REPUBLICAN of these people to demand a donation!

that this wasn't TPM's angle. I just happened to notice it, as did some other and it seemed to stand out in the midst of the overall story of the donation pitch/demand.

Just don't get it. If someone sent me such a flyer, the last thing they'd ever get from me was whatever they were demanding.

in his party affiliation could they be talking about? Are they tracking how every registered Republican is voting? How much they're giving to candidates and to whom? Is this how BushCo is using their warrantless wiretapping or whatever other type of spying Gonzales hinted at?
Nah ... but that kind of language and this party's recent history could make you start wondering.
