When I see someone like Mitt Romney making b.s. excuses for his combat-aged sons, I can't just say, "Well, it IS a volunteer military." I would be more inclined to say so if the Right hadn't spent so many years shrieking that anyone who didn't back the Decider's Glorious Adventure was a cowardly, traitorous piece of crap who deserved a firing squad for being in league with the Terror Guys. I'd like to kick their f___ing teeth in.
