I think we're doing very well. I've met a lot of people and will be going to Chicago next month for some more training and to meet even more people. DC is taking notice and we've been in contact.

The most surprising is the friends and neighbors from my youth I've reconnected with. One is a guy two doors down while I was pre-teen ran in Ill but as a Republican. He knows Hastert and Quayle on a first name basis.  Still, he's been supportive.

One classmate friend is this guy. I knew he was a celebrity and tried to get in touch with him over the years but he lives in Paris and I never quite connected. Now, I know how.

One of my coaches is now actually the mayor of Waukegan which is where I grew up. Lot's of great old memories coming out.
