I'm a bit tired of people like him and Fukayama trying to rewrite history about their beliefs after the fact.

I'm surprised he did so while Bush and Cheney were still around.

It's probably the "I don't give a fuck" attitude. As Paul O'Neill once said, he's a rich, old man. What can they do to him?
Nothing, really.

... would people like Greenspan have any problem with Bush? Are we to believe that Greenspan had the wool pulled pulled over his eyes this whole time, and only know is seeing Bush for what he is?
It looks as if they are simply seeing Bush as the boat anchor tied around their necks, and are desperate to throw it off. These people thought of Bush as the second coming of Reagan, and now they want to sell the idea that Bush is some sort of anti-Reagan. They were right the first time. Bush is just the fruits of the Reagan revolution.
But if as a result of this, those with money and power think twice about the primrose path that they have followed Bush down, there may be some utility out of Greenspan's comments. Even if Greenspan is only chewing his foot off to distance himself from Bush.
It is the job of thinking people not to be on the side of the executioners.

among the fastest runners away from him. They cannot succeed, though. In fact an impeachment would be doing them a favor, by getting rid of him before the election.
I swear, if the Dems don't tie every single repub candidate at every level to the sitting President, then they're even stupider than I give them credit for.
This is one situation where negative campaigning is absolutely unnecessary. Just telling the truth about these people should be enough for a change. Assuming the Dems have the minimal courage to do so.

today, not that it's all that difficult...
For impeachment, what you mention is a small price to pay to save the country.

After all this, I doubt I can ever consider any republican a true American again. When they held power, they ran absolutely amok.
The Republicans can never be trusted again.

And do something about that little teevee show they've got.
Do what? I don't know. But something has to be done about FauxNews' advocacy.

But that's kind of what we're doing here, isn't it? Is the measure of political success that of owning a popular television station? Perhaps so.

Wouldn't it be great if a progressive mounted a hostile takeover of NewsCorp?
What a dream come true that would be.
