Some time ago I set up a "$5 for Al Gore" page on ActBlue, using their draft candidate tools - so if Al gets in the race, he gets it, if not it goes to the Democratic nominee. It's a win-win!

This idea is based on AZ, where candidates can get on the ballot by showing lots of small dollar contributions as evidence of support. Tho' in this case, we'd be showing Al...
It was all so easy in 2004 when I was for Howard Dean.

Can I suggest that you set a goal and a deadline such as a drive next week? If you wrote a couple diaries on it throughout the week, I bet we'd raise a lot of money.
I'f help promote the shit out of it.

Al Gore didn't lose in 2000. America did.

This is awesome. If you did for end of Q3, we'd have to have a coordinated effort to link all over the place, put it in our signatures etc. I guess we could swing that if your diary made it on the rec list big time. Anyone else game?
Up to you of course. I'm here every day.

I would start with a modest goal of 100 contributors. You can inch it up if we overwow. Having a success will draw attention to the site.

people seem pretty reluctant to donate to a Draft campaign, especially when results aren't guaranteed. On the other hand, I suggest doing what our organizers in Massachusetts are doing --- collecting thousands of signatures over the requirement to show the support Gore has. If the Secretary of State deems the support is large and real, he can and will put Al on the primary ballot.
