Hillary Clinton turned me into a newt. I got better.

Overall, this was a passionate but civil debate. Good stuff.

I don't think there was a clear winner... they all did really well.

The strategic winner. They kissed and made up, everyone did fine ... that freezes the race, with Hillary leading in the big Feb 5 states.

i think Obama is a generally bad debater, he pauses a lot and reflects, which is great in a speech for adding dramatic effect, but it doesn't work where short, concise answers are required. i think when Edwards is able to remain consistent for a long run, he is very convincing. he can get a little sappy for me, but you get the basic feeling from him that he's a responsive person with an active mind, there's a real person in there...Clinton is the best debater of the lot, if not the best orator. her even tone, but constant flow of specifics can be kind of hypnotic.

when the corporate media censors someone who has the balls to do something about impeachment and the Dems don't say something about it. The whole discourse is just so hollow.

No matter which pony you are backing this time around you have a right to be proud. This was GREAT! We have such great candidates this time around, and they have such a pathetic batch of losers that I am happy no matter which one wins.
BTW, my personal preference is Edwards, but I love the idea of Obama and what he can do as a transformational leader. If I had to vote today, that would be the way I would go. But I am in Washington, we don't vote for another month - we may even still be relevant by then.
But given all that, Hillary Clinton is so fucking smart and on top of her game, that I have hard time faulting her. Her ploy to ask Barack to co-sponsor legislation was a master stroke. What's he gonna say? No thanks? Also, her willingness to call out Bush showed real leadership.
We are SO gonna kick ass this November! There is so much interest in this election, and as we all know, high turnout always favors dems. I am LOVING this!

the Russert lost outcome is really the most positive result of all.

I didn't get to watch the debate, but in the quick national news rundown on our local morning news this morning, the key message was that the Dem candidates all agreed to keep positive in the campaign and tone down any race-related talk, and the way it was presented came off well. The one clip they used was of Obama talking about bringing people together, so he came off looking the best just in that little clip, especially since the clip they used showed Hillary looking at him with a too-serious look on her face.
Contrast this news with the Repug disarray after Michigan, and its a double-win for the Dems!
