      No need to explain, they just gave me the R ballot. I did explain the idea to a friend I met there who was dropping off her daughter and was about to vote. She went home to check out dKos and will vote when she picks her kid up this afternoon, so I think we got another one.

        I had a friend out in Seattle who felt strongly about casting a protest vote for Nader. Washington was a battleground state but the race here in Georgia was hugely lopsided to Bush. So we agreed that I would vote here for Nader and he would vote there for Gore.

        Man, I explained to everyone around me in line what I was doing. The area where I live is very liberal and very Democratic, so I just felt I had to make sure they knew I was not abandoning Gore.
