I was wrong thinking that Edwards should get out, based on splitting the anti-Clinton vote.
Last thing America needs is a Clinton Restoration. They have gotten worse and worse at working with people to get Democratic Party objectives.
Edwards and Obama showed during the debate that they respect each other. Also, that they are happy to learn from each other.
Obama accepted Edwards's point that troops for anti-al-Qaeda missions might be better off stationed in Kuwait, versus keeping them inside Iraq.
Edwards took the lead from Obama for dealing with special interests.
Good communications. Good teamwork. Good political skills.
These "boys" make a good team. For any team. And you think they haven't planned this system ??? That they aren't aiming at the brittle personality, the memorized presentations of Mrs. Clinton ???
These "boys" are out to win. Two-on-one works a helluva lot better than one-against-one. So here's another $100 for Edwards. Stay in there, fella....
These SOBs are smart.

Couldn't resist.
Look, they are all solid candidates, and one can easily make an argument for any one of them having a message that will resonate.
We are lucky that we get to choose from the best of the best, instead of what Republicans have, which is choosing from the best of the worst.
George Bush didn't just destroy Iraq, he destroyed his own party, the very people that brought him to the White House. Do I feel sorry for them? Not one bit. This is what happens when you follow a leader blindly, and for all of the discussion of how Democrats don't fall perfectly into party line, I believe in questioning leadership. Even the leadership of your own party. Maybe especially them.
Just think if what would have happened if Dick Durbin had found his voice earlier? Chris Dodd? Chuck Hagel? Dick Lugar?
There's a good lesson to share with people you know here--and that is this: The time to speak truth to power, is always right now.

for the vids. I live in Portland Oregon and Comcast did away with MSNBC here. I wanted to see how John did...gotta say his comment about the vets was spot on. I feel like pols say the same ol' thing about taking care of the vets, but nothing ever gets done. It's a shame. I hope the next POTUS doesn't continue to fill the cause of REALLY taking care of our vets with a load of hot air. If we won't even take care of people who make huge sacrifices for us all, what the heck does that say about us?

it justifies their focusing on the Top Two! I mean, they're getting so much airtime because they're the Top Two because they're getting so much airtime!
So much circular logic it'll make your head spin.

These "boys" ddrew out every one of the main self-serving "parsing" statements from Mrs. Clinton.

I noticed he seemed to be getting quite a bit less time and questions that the others. It's good to see it actually broken down.

That way, everyone can see at a glance that it's more than just us--the committed Edwards people--who are saying so.

Those are some GREAT clips! I thought a lot of the debate was boring except for when Edwards was on. He seems to light up the debate with his answers. That's probably why they marginalize him on time even there's only three of them on the stage.

. . . to have Frank Luntz name Edwards the winner.
Is this what you Edwards folks are reduced to clinging to?
I saw your man pandering on every point, apologizing for every vote. It was an embarrassment.
by bluehawaii on Wed Jan 16, 2008 at 05:17:21 AM PDT
What Luntz said?
Edwards had a lot of good reviews and I gave MY opinion on a number of his answers in my diary. Numerous posters here also wrote THEIR opinions on how he did.
You are just making things up.
Have a great day!

I'm in awe of your video skills, in addition to diary and campaign efforts for John. You're a superstar!
The truth is I was looking forward to your video recap of the debate as I wasn't able to watch it. Thank you so much for putting these together and sharing with us!
