  •  I'm well aware of Reagan's legacy. (0+ / 0-)

The fallacy of "trickle down" economics. The foreign policy that propped up Latin American dictators and armed bin Laden, Iraq, and Iran.

But Reagan's dead. How does exposing his record help us at all? Does it help us end the war in Iraq? Help us enact health care? Or does it just galvanize the right wing against us so we can't do anything? There are quite a few Democrats who voted for him. Twice.

    •  Why? Why can Reagan and Bush1 be easily rehabbed (0+ / 0-)

in the history books and in their public legacies?

Because right when a few honest Democrats spent YEARS uncovering and investigating their illegal operations and had those legacies cornered and on the verge of full exposure, a Democratic administration took office in 1993 and set about the Deep-sixing of all the outstanding matters in IranContra, Iraqgate, BCCI and CIA drugrunning.

And Clinton2 is being set up to continue that protection for BushInc.
