i had that very conversation with the hubby last night. one of the big reasons i'm leaning edwards at this point is because i'm tired of being defined by the republican party. it's time we spoke out for our values again. and while i see positives to all the candidates, i think edwards is the one who speaks most urgently and forcefully about our vision for america.

That's why I'm a little turned off by Obama's let's all be friends speeches. We've have over 15 years of the Republicans defining our party for us. Do you really think they'll just throw up their hands and say nevermind??? They will not change their tactics. They will NEVER make nice with our party. It's time we started playing by the same rules.

playing kumbaya with the people who are ripping apart the social safety net is not going to work. period.
i like obama. i really do. but i don't think he gets it. kinda like nancy and her "i thought they'd just roll over" attitude.

And, hell, certainly during the freaking primaries -- if not now, when?

I may borrow it to use else where (not as a sig line) if you say OK. :-)

Rhetoric matters. We need to change the conversation in America to get anywhere. We need to throw those ubiquitous RW assumptions and memes in the garbage.
Edwards does that more than the others.
Save WBAI - vote independent

doesn't follow politics, and doesn't understand why Biden isn't doing better (he likes him, and he's our senator, so it's not because he doesn't know who he is), and he probably won't even vote if Hilary is the nominee.
He can't stand ANY of the Rs, but he likes Edwards. He makes him think of Kennedy (JFK or RFK, not Teddy).
I think it's the hair, myself...
However, I think he likes Edwards because he's NOT mild mannered, or conciliatory, or stand-offish. He seems approachable, likable, and like he's going to fight for US for a change.

The world will make a little mosre sense to him Friday morning after Sen Biden's surpringly strong showing. :)
But there's room in that prediction (read: naked hope) for your guy to do well too. Get your popcorn ready. :)
Psst! Don't panic
