that's been struggled over. i suspect many MANY of us have felt the same angst, fear, disappointment, and have tired as well.

perhaps we feel too much, perhaps we don't have the fight really in us (hornito certainly did), or perhaps we just need to re-charge & retirement just never is for us.

but i think many of us legitimately are wondering exactly what it is we spent so much of our energy & time fighting for. because we weren't just fighting against something - we had hoped for something to fill that void.

the GOP is in shambles. bush will be a the neocon's albatross. but what do we have left? politicians who fail to inspire and a public that is uninspiring and largely apathetic.

isn't that what we had before?

THAT - not the GOP, not Katrina, not Iraq - is what really takes my wind.
