I mean, is that like, Edwards is IN this season-slash-grey is the new black? Or was it an even MORE bizarre statement?

Apart from the context in which I explained it, I suspect it would seen a surreal assertion. Thanks for your understanding.

Like calling Bill and Hillary racist. And I do not want Hillary, but the idea that we are going to go into an election with the notion that calling people like the Clintons racist is an idea that is likely to bring us another gooper President because no one will take us seriously.

...at least to those of us who are not sexist or racist.
By saying that Edwards is "the new black", I meant two things:
I know that Clinton, Obama and Edwards are not racists. I am talking about the media and their democracy-thwarting shenanigans.

you have to have principles that transcend your personal ambition.
I certainly agree that it is unfair to call the Clintons racist.

but in the Tyra Banks interview she asks how does it feel to be in the minority? Interesting that she saw it that way.
This is a media created context that studiously makes Edwards not a viable candidate without a rational reason often just because he is competing with two "firsts".

on her show?
She heard him speak and was WOW'd. Bless her little tabloid heart (Yes, I'm a fan of The Soup), she invited him to give yet another audience an introduction to this amazing visionary.
For some reason, I'll never refer to her as an Oprah Wannabe again. Two worlds collided on the Edwards segment, and it was good.
And you do know, there is often pain behind jokes, JE gets that too :)
