but things change so fast in politics.   How many failed presidential  hopefuls come back to try again?   Historically, it's not many.  

If Edwards is the real deal he seems to be, I'd see him continuing his benevolent work, kind of a young Jimmy Carter.

All this is not to say I wouldn't LOVE to see him come back in '12 or '16.  Time will tell.
