    Is this so hard to understand? He is not a journalist or reporter, but a columnist hired by the Times to replace the rightwinger Bill Saffire.
    He is supposed to slam democrats. thats his job.
    I dont get this diary at all!

      I guess it's about the way PBS puts this guy forward as a moderate, and he admits he can't even control his urge to insert "slams" into his commentary.
